Terms & Conditions

Last updated: January 2024

1. Rental Agreement

By renting a vehicle from GRP Car Rental, you agree to these terms and conditions. The rental agreement is between GRP Car Rental ("we", "us", "our") and the renter ("you", "your"). The agreement begins when you take possession of the vehicle and ends when the vehicle is returned in the agreed condition.

2. Driver Requirements

All drivers must hold a valid driving licence from their home country or an International Driving Permit. Drivers must be at least 21 years of age. Drivers under 25 may be subject to a young driver surcharge. All drivers must be listed on the rental agreement before operating the vehicle.

3. Insurance Coverage

All rental prices include Third Party Insurance as required by Seychelles law. This covers damage or injury caused to third parties. Comprehensive insurance covering damage to the rental vehicle is available as an optional add-on. The renter is responsible for any damage not covered by the selected insurance.

4. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the rental start date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the rental start date may be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to one day's rental. No-shows will be charged the full rental amount.

5. Vehicle Use

Vehicles are licensed for use on Praslin Island only. Driving onto ferries or to other islands is strictly prohibited. Vehicles must not be used for racing, off-road driving (except the Mahindra Thar), or any illegal activity. Smoking is not permitted in any of our vehicles.

6. Fuel Policy

Vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel. You are required to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, a refuelling fee will be charged at the prevailing local rate plus a service charge.

7. Damage & Liability

You are responsible for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period, including damage caused by third parties. Please report any damage immediately. Failure to report damage may result in additional charges. You are liable for the cost of repairs up to the excess amount specified in your rental agreement.
